Local Attractions Falmouth's Woods Hole village is home to many special events, businesses, hotels and local attractions. During the summer months, this quaint village is filled with visitors, fishermen, scientists, residents and students from around the globe. It is readily accessible by walking the 3 mile Shining Sea Bike Path or hopping on Cape Cod Regional Transit's WHOOSH Trolley. Woods Hole is also your quick and easy way to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket via the Steamship Authority

The Captain Kidd is the starting point of the Falmouth Road Race. Another highlight of every year is the  Woods Hole Music Festival .

The National Marine Fisheries Service also houses a research aquarium that is open to the public. Don't forget to pick up a souvenir or t-shirt from one of the many stores and gift shops!

Woods Hole is also home to many well-known ocean science and research centers such as the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution , Marine Biological Labs, U.S. Geological Survey's Coastal and Marine Geology Team, NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service ,  The Woods Hole Research Center and The Sea Education Association.
