OUR CHEF

Frank Belfiore

Some people come to The Kidd for a season. Others become part of its story.

Chef Frank has been a fixture here for more than 30 years, but his story started long before he took over the kitchen. He got his start at The Kidd as a dishwasher before leaving Falmouth to pursue his culinary ambitions at Johnson & Wales. From there, he honed his craft in high-end kitchens in Fort Lauderdale and Boston before finding his way back to where it all began—returning to The Captain Kidd as Head Chef in the late 90’s.

Frank's approach to food reflects the place he's spent decades helping shape: start with great ingredients, respect the classics, and do them right. He has a particular appreciation for the seafood that defines our corner of New England, sourcing the freshest available and letting the quality of the ingredients speak for itself. From the dishes people have been coming back for year after year to new seasonal additions, his food is rooted in tradition without being stuck in it.

And, like most good stories around here, Frank's isn't only about the food.

He met his wife, Angel, right here at The Kidd. They built a life and raised a family together, and today their kids have found their own place within these walls. Over the years, Frank has become far more than our chef—he's family, and an irreplaceable part of this place.

If you ask us, The Kidd wouldn't be The Kidd without him.
