From passed appetizers and stationary selections to a full seated dinner, there's more than one way to bring everyone together.
With the patio and docks in play, our spaces open up for larger guest counts and more flexibility in how your event comes together.
During the quieter edges of our season, events are primarily indoors, creating a more intimate setting for smaller groups.

How is event pricing structured?
Event pricing varies depending on the time of year, day of the week, and space reserved. All private events are subject to a room charge in addition to applicable food and beverage minimums. Room charges are not waived or applied toward food and beverage minimums.
When do you host private events?
We host private events seasonally from May through December. The Captain Kidd is closed for the season during the winter and early spring months. Availability may be limited during our peak summer season and on holiday weekends.
What types of private events do you host?
We host rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, wedding receptions, cocktail parties, corporate gatherings, celebrations of life, birthday and anniversary parties, and other private gatherings.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Capacity depends on the event format and space reserved. Our private Dining Room can accommodate up to 90 guests for a seated dinner and up to 175 guests for a cocktail-style event. Full restaurant buyouts can accommodate up to 130 guests for a seated dinner and up to 275 guests for a cocktail-style event. Final capacities may depend on event layout and other logistical considerations.
What food service styles do you offer?
We offer seated dinners as well as cocktail-style events featuring passed and stationary appetizers. We do not offer buffet or family-style service for private events.
Do you offer bar packages?
Our private event bar service is consumption-based rather than a per-person package. Hosts may choose beer and wine or a full bar, set a predetermined bar tab limit, or have drinks paid for individually by guests. Bar service can be tailored to what works best for your event.
